Waste is any resource that is used or expend carelessly, extravagantly, or to no purpose.

Recommended colour coding of containers 

• Green - Organic - Biodegradable / plant / animal waste
• Blue - Recyclable - Paper / glass / metal cans / batteries
• Red - Reject / Sanitary waste - Diapers / Bandages / sanitary wastes
• Yellow- for infectious waste 
• Brown- for chemical and pharmaceutical waste 
• Black- for general waste
